Ron Esclavo XO Laphroaig Cask – thewhiskyof.today

Ron Esclavo XO Laphroaig Cask

Ron Esclavo Xo Cask has been a favourite since about 2 years back. Every year they releases a new special edition for the Swedish market.
Last year it was “Cognac cask finish” and this years experiment was finished in Laphroaig whisky casks.

Ron Esclavo brand is owned by the Danish company 1423 World Class Spirits and they have a big variety of different spirits (1423.dk).
The producer of the rum is Oliver & Oliver in the Dominican Republic.

The bottle nr I have is 258 of 381 and it’s only one batch of this special edition.
According to 1423 them self there will be another or several releases of special editions this year, what flavours or cask types that will be influenced is still unknown.
I have tried all three of the current available variants and the Cognac edition is more sweet than the original and the Laphroaig have more of a punch to it.
Looking forward to see what is to come and a proper review of all three will come in the future.
